REGISTRATION OF COURSES
1. In compliance with "Guidelines for Registering Courses"
(kamoku toroku yoryo), a student enrolled in the Graduate School
of American Studies is expected to sign up for courses on the date
and time designated. A student in the second year and beyond should
bring transcripts to registration.
2. Generally, students are not allowed to repeat courses that have
already been taken with passing grades ("Pass" and 70-100).
3. Students are not allowed to take two courses offered at the
same time. This is the rule at the Graduate School of American Studies
and elsewhere on campus.
4. Students are expected to fill out OCR Registration Forms and
submit them on the date and time designated. To fill these out they
should refer to various materials such as "Student Guide to
the Graduate School of American Studies" (rishu yoko), syllabi
for courses, and teaching license courses (menkyo shikaku kankei
rishu yoko), etc. Courses offered at other Doshisha University graduate
schools are open to Graduate School of American Studies students
only when they are indicated as such.
5. A student can withdraw from courses for approximately one month
after classes begin without penalty of getting an F grade. Registration
for courses, which is currently done about one week after classes
begin, should be reviewed, so that all classes begin after registration
is finished.
